So here I have a cautionary tale for you, of the potential dangers of neglecting your stash.<\/p>\n<h1>Please Knit Me (with grateful thanks to W.S. Gilbert)<\/h1>\n<p>On a shelf by a window a little yarn ball<br \/>\nSang \u201cKnit me, just knit me, please knit me\u201d<br \/>\nAnd I said to him, \u201cWoolly ball, why do you call,<br \/>\nSinging &#8216;Knit me, just knit me, please knit me&#8217;\u201d<br \/>\nAre your plies spun too tightly, Oh yarn ball?\u201d I cried<br \/>\nOr a tangle of yarn in your little inside\u201d<br \/>\nWith a twitch of his trailing yarn end, he replied<br \/>\n\u201cOh knit me, just knit me, please knit me\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>He slapped at his band as he sat on that shelf<br \/>\nSinging \u201cKnit me, just knit me, please knit me\u201d<br \/>\nAnd he begged all the needles to cast on himself<br \/>\nOh, knit me, just knit me, please knit me<br \/>\nHe sobbed and he sighed, and he started in fright<br \/>\nThen he threw himself out and away like a kite<br \/>\nAnd an echo arose of the suicide&#8217;s plight<br \/>\nOh, knit me, just knit me, please knit me.<\/p>\n<p>Now I feel just as sure as I&#8217;m sure that my name<br \/>\nIsn&#8217;t Knit me, just knit me, please knit me<br \/>\nThat &#8217;twas being neglected that made him exclaim<br \/>\n\u201cOh, knit me, just knit me, please knit me\u201d<br \/>\nAnd if you are seduced by each new yarn you buy<br \/>\nIf you cast on each skein that you just have to try<br \/>\nDo not be surprised if you hear your stash cry<br \/>\n\u201cOh, knit me, please knit me, please knit me\u201d<\/p>\n<p>To hear the original version of Tit-Willow from the Mikado, go <a href=\"http:\/\/youtu.be\/sou331FNeU4\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In other news, I finished the Eskarina socks and have cast on the Sk8ter sweater for my son&#8217;s birthday.
